Stories
- went to costa vida

so good bro. i miss her.... but uh, we may have almost witnessed a public shooter out there. we heard what we thought might be gunshots pretty close by us, (maybe a block or two), then saw a lot of policemen with their windows down driving around. by the time we left costa we saw a whole section of that block blocked off by police officers. luckily, nobody was hurt. but they shot some cars i guess. got apprehended as well
- had the mutual talent show! bunch of the kids could do cool things. one did calisthenics, one did a rubix cube race, there was a nose whistle, a song from someone popping their jaw, and some cool violin songs and even a girl who did a funny musical theatre piece! i showed them my ambidextrous ukulele playing, and elder paulk and i also did a duet of "i want it that way" by the backstreet boys. one of the young women took a video, so let's just say there's some footage of me, as a missionary, voice cracking while i sing an unconsecrated song hahaha. not only that, but the B99 version.
- walked eli for sister thompson again, and helped her choose a computer to buy haha. that was fun
- helped the ZL's set up for ZC:) many table. many chair. took me back to the good ol' alpine art center days. good stuff
- i got two new pairs of pants because i've already lost three to the mish. all i had left are these gray ones i've already had to resew in a few places.... wish me luck my dudes
- we had a good time at zone conference! saw so many homies from all over, and had some good spiritual stuff from the one and only brother littlefield! fourth time having him come while i've been on my mission haha. it was of course, filled with much spiritual revelation and good food.
- after ZC we helped clean up! i accidentally kissed elder nicholas' ear because elder paulk bumped me. i very intimately enjoyed it tho. i would say don't tell him, but pls do. love that mans
- so.... i went to MLC. i am not a member of the MLC. it was pretty cool to experience it tho, at least just once. we came home from Zone Conference, i packed up, then made a bunch of food. i made no-bake cookies, but with french vanilla creamer, brown sugar, and almond extract in place of some of the milk, normal sugar, and vanilla extract. it was pretty good! i also made pre-workout and a protein shake cuz u KNO i be working out tomorrow no cap
met up with ALL the boys at 8:30pm that night for the big MLC exchange. it was fun. we vibed. then caffal, durrant, reyes, abar and i just had a good time.
i then woke up at 4:17 to work out. mistake? maybe. but even with getting up a half hour earlier than the rest of the dudes, i was still more awake than any of them haha. we all got ready, and were out of the door before the sun even came up
MLC was.... interesting. lowkey,,,, wouldn't want to do that every month haha. but it was cool to experience it just once;) we ate breakfast, lunch, and i saw so many homies. bro littlefield talked to us a bunch there too about a powerful mission culture and it was awesome! we also found out the new AP before everyone else hehehehhehe. transfer news has come out by now. it's elder hyer. i love that man
after all of that, we had a big discussion with just the missionaries. President left, the big adults left, literally it was just us. we then talked about where we all wanted to take the mission for the next few YEARS. wow. i feel lowkey important now. even tho i have.... not that much time left hahahah. i kinda just talked about love, about being all in, and something weird happened. so, i feel the Spirit burning in my ears specifically, when i talked about love to all of them. my ears burning is something EXTREMELY rare for me, but it feels cool and really weird when it does happen. anyway, i told every missionary to let go of every bad feeling they had of any other missionary. just let it go. love. God has high expectations of us, but His love FAR outmatches it. so uh, yeah. ears burned.
we then drove back, and errybody zonked except abar n me. so ofc we had to take pics of everyone else asleep, and ofc i tied elder reyes' shoes together. pics included:)
in my exact words: "got back. ded. so ded. more detail tomorrow." and uh, it is now past tomorrow. we got back after sunrise, so yeah. big ded.
- elder paulk had a great time without me tho! even started teaching someone new. awesome!
- we uh,,,,, we may have broken the piano bench at the church... we both wanted to play, and i got on the seat first and elder paulk tried to force his way on then one of the legs broke off. big oof. we took responsibility for it tho, no worries
- after that we went to the sabins, and as always, they're just so lit. apparently bro sabin caught, killed, cooked, and ate an iguana. then kept the skull. how metal is that????? dang bro. legendary.
- went way further up on the grand mesa than i ever have before. got to this cool lodge, where i got some shirts, socks, and a hoodie:))
- we then went to jersey mikes as a district to open transfer news! elder paulk and i are staying, and we get a third companion named elder guy!
- i also got an electric guitar. it is very cool. heck yeah
Teaching Updates
- met with val with bro stephenson. went pretty well! she may be reading and praying ab the BoM so that's cool. we are deciding to not work too closely with her right now, but she may be a potential in the future. still a super sweet lady tho
- tikaboo!!!! she brought her friend she's living with AND the friend's husband:))) we gave them both blessings, Books ofs Mormons, and yeah they wanna come to church and it was awesome. tikaboo kept telling us to tell them about how this was the one true church on the earth, so that was pretty heccin cool
- other than that, elder paulk started teaching Garden while i was at MLC! i don't know much about her yet, other than she was on date previously, asks a lot of good questions, and is super sincere!

My challenges for you
- "God has high expectations of us, but His love FAR outmatches it".
i love talking about this. God asks a lot of us, for sure. but His love is greater than all of that. He basically did all the hard stuff for us anyway, right?
two part challenge today, one is conditional tho.
1. do what God wants you to do! He did so much. do at least one thing He has asked you to this week. pls. hopefully more!!
2. this be the conditional one! if you've asked someone to do something for you, increase your love!!! obviously, if you haven't asked someone to do something then this doesn't work haha. but keep it in mind for whenever you do!
Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.
