This week's summary! (for my TLDR folks)
☆ got flirted with from an abuelita. i don't speak spanish tho, so the hermanas... translated for me?
☆ temples + basketball? NOW i can play!

☆ some.... interesting contacts. being screamed at that we're a cult, and a guy who literally just walked straight past us and couldn't hear us whatsoever. but hey, no effort wasted am i right?
☆ i now know all the weeds that are edible. or at least like, 3. now WEED on the other hand is very bad for you. learned that from our friend miner, we'll hear about that later
☆ baptism for this stud in the spanish branch named Juan

☆ a 40 minute extremely spiritual live event that didn't even work

Stories
- So, we went to do a baptismal interview for this awesome kiddo that someone in our district is baptizing on monday, and he lives with his grandma! after the legendary interview, we talked to his grandma and she said i looked like leonardo dicaprio and tom holland, asked if i spoke spanish, and when the hermanas told her i did not speak any, but that i DID in fact, speak italian. after requesting me to speak to her, she seemed to like me a bit more. all i said was i liked to play the guitar O.o it was kinda fun tho! the kid LOVES anime so him and Elder Gustafson got along REAL well:) he's a stud.
- so, we played a cool game of basketball for mutual where we had to guess the picture of the temple before we could shoot, and then it was essentially a game of speed. i must confess, i am not too good at basketball. i am, however, really quite good at memorizing things. so, i kinda kicked butt, once i had all the temples memorized ;)
- had a LIT combined zone conference, saw some homies, and this legend named Brother Littlefield visited the mission! he came quite a while ago as well, and he always just BOOSHES with fuego advice. it was so epic! something not so epic was that the AP's did phone audits on every single one of our phones. i was completely fine, i don't even have (much of) anything to hide, but it's kinda like how you know when you feel like you've done every illegal thing when a cop walks by? it's like that. you KNOW you'll be fine, but agh the anxiety just gets ya yk? i was fine tho haha
- so, we stopped by some fun people this week! one guy kinda talked to us, then maybe didn't hear us? just walked right past us as we kept talking to him. just shuffled along. kinda crazy lady afterwards, she never even opened the door. just yelled at us to go away the first time, so we did. then we went back cuz we wanted to understand why, and she wouldn't stop screaming that we were a cult and that she was gonna call the cops if we didn't leave. so we left! can't say we didn't try hahaha
- so, we helped weed this lady's yard, and her neighbor came over! and every weed he pulled up he told us the nutritional benefits of every weed he pulled and where to find them to survive. they taste awful, but hey if you're dying anything works right? even the really spikey ones.
- the aforementioned anime kid got baptized on thursday! we were able to get our friend frog bus lady there, and our member translated for her the whole time cuz it was all in spanish! such a cool experience tho!
- God sometimes answers prayers before you can even finish praying! we were calling frog bus lady, and realized we weren't able to say a prayer before hand. better late than never tho! while it was ringing, i started to say a prayer. and i kid you not, as soon as i said "please bless that she will pick up", she answered. didn't even get to say amen! kinda awesome! God is good!
- went on exchanges with Elder Henrie! lit times, he bakes real good bread. during it, filmed a 40 minute extremely spiritual live. and it didn't work! oh well. you win some, you lose some.
- last but not least, happy mothers day:)) I love you all! every mother on here is just amazing. mothers do so much for us, and they're all so amazing. y'all are the best!!
Teaching Updates
- biggest thing is our friend miner came to church!!! although.... he ate some marijuana right before and fell asleep during the whole meeting. he said he was mad he didn't feel the spirit, and i was like..... yeah no dip sherlock. we'll keep working on him tho!
- nothing else new. i wish there was! just that we had a bunch of efforts exerted again, invited everyone to church, tried so many things, and... yeah. but we will be blessed!!! miracles are coming!!!!

My challenges for you
- in the words of one of my best 9 year old friends jeffrey, don't drink drugs!
basically, as we learned from miner, even the smallest amount of drugs sucks. i hate drugs with a passion. unless it's like prescribed, supposed to be there. no bad drugs. if u do drugs, which i seriously doubt any of you do hahahaha, stop it. get some help. michael jordan. but seriously. they kill people dudes.
