Stories
- p-day adventures today! went up on the mesa to fish! i caught there my first ever fish:) then 3 more! kept the 2 biggest ones to cook up. twas a good time. also got the most sunburnt i have my whole mission probably. (sorry sister Allenity....... my b hehehehe i'm not at my own apt i didn't have any sunscreen) but it was way fun! (also, Keawekane are you proud of me????)
- helped move a recent convert! love them. all their stuff was.... very dirty. frikin gross. but we love them and don't judge them. i just hate being dirty and gross. yuck. i twas the tetris master tho, and stacked everything in there SO good. frik yeah.
dipped to the stevensons to unload. more fun! love them too. we hiked the "mountains" behind their place, that was lit. ate some VERY juicy peaches. like wow. so much. love them tho. they have so many mattresses.
- went to arbys, where gus got 4 arby's sandwiches. that was fun lol he almost died. he said after he ate a plain handful of spinach he felt better tho
- exchanged! love elder durrant. we vibe way too much, he's leaving me tho to be a DL in frikin denver. good man.
- went to this one member's house. holy FETCH. they own a LAKE DAWG. A WHOLE LAKE. SHEEESH. so loaded. it was good tho, love them!
- we went and did service for sis b the elder! she's awesome. gave us truffles, told us cool stories, especially about italy mission stuff! such as baptizing a lady and her leg extending without needing surgery. and a woman deathly afraid of water being baptized. frikin sick. her sister was there, she told us some dope family history stories too!
- i changed the light switches around in the upstairs bathroom, that was cool. after a lot of messing around with it i can now officially say i am a master electrician. yup.
- companionless adventures:
dropped gus off at the airport (saddest moment ever)
ZL's brought us and took me, twas the only companionship who could
went to church. the ZL's had a meeting. i attended church as a lone missionary, greeting and setting things up by myself. it was extremely weird.
they dropped me off to the beautiful pear park elders, who i am now currently with until thursday. they were already covering two wards. we are now over three wards as three elders. these were also the only other elders in our district. we are now a one companionship district. this is best case.
we vibin. the end.
Teaching Updates
- coolest thing that happened today was f! we talked to him, and taught him the whole restoration. he had some of the basic questions, why are Satan and Jesus brothers, why don't we believe in the traditional "trinity", blacks and the priesthood, and we explained them and he was totally down! also saw his wife sand2, all she did was give us a bible. didn't even respond to me complimenting her parakeet shirt. don't think she likes us very much. but, f was down to read and pray about the BoM, and we got a free bible! it is... very weird. extremely simple. twould be good for someone who's never heard about God before. for me, it just kinda took out the beauty of the bible :/ the words just don't hit me. still cool they gave it to us tho! maybe sand2 doesn't think we believe in the bible..... no lo sei rick
- called the father of the smith, he asked when WE were next free. frikin love that man
- called taco john! shared a PoS with him. he was sober, and very willing to learn! it went awesome:) sober taco john is much better than drunk taco john! we started teaching him too, it was lit
- vans dipped. but! bro van is open about the BoM:)) so that's pretty cool
- stopped by dabecc's! she said she'd be down to "conform". so that's lit. did the flipping open to random BoM pages thing, she loved it! we said goodbye, gus committed her to come to church, let's frikin go.
- the koopa troopas! love them. had a great discussion, helped bro koopa troopa with a concern about prophets. thank goodness for my own testimony there. i've learned recently just how perfect out prophets are for our times, just like the old ones were for theirs. i also said some stuff i don't even remember, that i wasn't even planning on saying. dang. Spirit be goin sicko mode. they had us come inside and say a prayer and bless their home. gus did a great job. it was awesome. their little kiddos always want us to watch them, and shout "MISSIONARIES!! MISSIONARIES!!!" until we do. CUTEST thing ever. sis koopa troopa also told us she wanted to be re-baptized, and that their unbaptized son did too! so that's awesome

My challenges for you
- i heard a good quote recently:
"i can't imagine my life without the church. it saved me"
this was from someone going through a trial. someone who had seen other people go through something similar, and leave everything good behind.
if you've ever thought the church is restrictive, or holds you back, or you're better off without it, i invite you today, to think about how much God loves you. everything in the church, all the "rules", (which are actually called "commandments"), are only and inevitably for our good. please don't let any justification, lack of responsibility, or any of the tricky tools of the Devil lead you away from the truth.
it is what saves you. HE is what saves you.
Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.
