This week's summary! (for my TLDR folks)
☆ our district is tiny now. smallest in the mission, technically. yeet.
☆ new Mission President!
☆ good service. good soup. rose bushes suck, apparently. also much more service
☆ many teaching updates for this week! y'all in for a treat! i do only have 27 minutes left tho so.... we'll see hahaha
☆ testified to some kiddos about being a missionary. if you didn't know, i love being a missionary.
☆ got professional photos taken of us
☆ had an,,,,,, extremely interesting leadership meeting, man. why can't people just smile??? i know i ain't perfect tho. but yikes.
☆ got told last minute that we were teaching in sunday school.... yayyyyyyyy
☆ america the beautiful does NOT work in the key of G.... at least i think it was in the key of G.... transposing adventures without any resources, only my ears
☆ i already love our new MP and his companion. they're so amazing. so much love. so much. i'll miss President and Sister Rees a lot, but it'll be good:)
Stories
- with transfers, our district now consists of us, another set of elders, and a senior couple. frikin lit, but the senior couple can't do a whole lot so... we don't do a whole lot haha.
- more service for our old friend kenneth's sister! ripped up a bunch of rose bushes. it was lit. used a truck for one, so that was fun. hot, sweaty, exhausting. fun!
- did some dope work on a member's fence.he roasts us while we do it too. frikin hilarious
- had a fun member lesson with a family, their kiddos are super funny, super smart. told them about being missionaries!! i love testifying of that. it really is the best!!
- had professional photos taken of us by a member. new pfp soon, look out for it. well, maybe not so soon. i just updated it haha. but it'll be lit:)
- the leadership meeting. here are some of the things that were talked about:
~ people ticked about no member meals and no tracting. ~ a comment about how 90% of MLC thinks they're better than everyone else. ~ another missionary mad about something else. ~ the cherry on top.... a missionary at the end just went off about how we all are against each other and it was so dramatic and mean and..... ugh. i just... i wish people would only do things with positivity. why can't we just say: "this would be very useful! here's why!" with a smile on our faces? why does it have to be angry? i wish we could all just have multituded of charity. but that wish is just... that. a wish. man. oh well.
- tried to do service for dou and lou. they need our help real badly for when they move. they were kinda banking on... just us tho. idk why. we promised them we would find people to help. if not, it will be us. kind of a bad move on me, but.... she was bouta have a panic attack. yikesh.
- more service! shoveled some fun gravel, got to watch a cool lil excavator, used as a big broom. it was pretty sweet. also got some otter pops
- got told we teaching the adults in Sunday school at 9:30pm the day before. hm. luckily i'm EXTREMELY good at winging things. and talking it was good!
- spent an HOUR trying to figure out our songs we're singing for the devo today (monday). america the beautiful does NOT work transposed. or in the key of G. one of the two.
- love pres and sis floyd. SO MUCH. they're SO kind, and loving, and just amazing. so good. i cannot WAIT to continue on my mission with them. man, i'm gonna miss p.rees tho. already do, a bit. i've spent almost ¾ths of my mission with the homie. dang. can't believe the transition is already here. crazy times.
Teaching Updates
- stopped by this one lady we've been trying to work with, she was baptized forever ago it seems. still dope tho!
- met with miner. his step grandson DJ was there, he was dope. gave him a Book of Mormon, he totally understood. talked about the bible being like telephone. whatta stud
- bro Shed lesson! he wants to get baptized. but is worried about leaving his church. we'll get him fs. committed to living WoW. we also met with him later in the week, strong spirit. we can be pretty bold. people just... don't know how to recognize the spirit tho. not really. the still, small voice is tricky to get. even for someone like me, who's only been doing this for 12 years. anyway, was good. we even started a fast with him! then he didn't come to church tho.... big rip
- Ant man and the Climber are back!! Ant man is 100% down. the climber is a stud. he asked "why did God place me on earth?". dang bro. whatta question. never would've expected that out of the homie. sheesh. ant man is just lit. said he would make time for us, and that he would read the BoM. every day. best case. heccin love him. after i bore testimony to the climber thunder struck too. so that was cool
- people rejecting salvation is never fun. happened a good amount this week.
- met with a member who's always a legend. i asked him what the spirit was telling him to do right then. he said go to church. got em.
- our friend Becc calls us. we go over. they love and appreciate us. she talks about the warm fuzzies often, and how much she loves us SO many times. literally our best friend. heccin love her so much.

My challenges for you
- do something this week to step outside of your comfort zone! release some of the fear. you will leave more confident tho, if before you do it you decide to be completely happy with whatever outcome. but, you will most likely be pleasantly surprised!
