Sir Knight Elder Smith, The Wasp Waster #26

Muraho bantu! Welcome back to my own semi half monthly email. Brought to you by the kinyarwandan language! None others like it. You know it, I know it. No doubt no doubt coolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcoolcool! 🌴This week's summary!🌴 (for my TLDR folks) - I have been Dubbed a knight. And a Lord. Idk. - Now I have TWO journals! - I faced my fear of spiders by doing service, climbing under a hour where I saw probably close to hundreds of spiders. - Went to a sick thrift store - Got SOAKED in the rain, took lots of pictures. It was a very good time. - Built a chichen coop and killed a LOT of wasps. this is where the dubbing came in. - I grilled hot dogs and burgers for our entire zone, and apparently I'm decent at volleyball? - Oh yeah and I hit my 6 month mark. I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 🌈Stories🤌 - So, we did service for one of our good friends who we're teaching, I've mentioned her before, she's the one who we got to stop drinking beer. Still going hard on the no mountain dewskis 💪😤 anyway, she has a wild quail that has adopted itself into her chicken family, which is sick, but It's kinda a tyrant and picks on 3 of the smaller chickens. so we went over and helped build a new chicken coop and separate the chickens, but we found like 4 HUGE wasp nests. I found a stick and started whacking the nests to get them out and away from the chickens, and ended up killing so many. I even whacked a few out of the air, which was pretty cool. And miraculously, none of us got stung! Our friend dubbed me "Sir Knight Elder Smith, the Wasp Waster" which is a title I am going to wear proudly. I even got to keep the stick!!! I also forgot to put sunscreen on, again, an we were out there for like four and a half hours, so I may or may not be getting pretty close to skin cancer. Hehe sorry mom! - I got a new journal, and just wanted to take the time to reference Studio C. - I helped put in insulation underneath another one of our friends houses, (man, I'm learning all SORTS of new life skills out here), and when I was sliding around under there I saw more spiders than I could count. Another miracle, not a single one of them ever bothered me. so that's epic. I hate spiders. - Went to this local thrift store, it was so cool. got some new service shirts, a sick new tie, and an omelet pan! - It was raining HARD when we came home from the church one day, and If you know me super well you know I LOVE rain. I always got incredible amounts of seratonin whenever it rained or was even just overcast, which is weird because usually people get more sad when that happens. I asked Elder Hassard if we could stop on the cool looking main street here in Fruita and take some pictures, and he was like sure fine I guess. We ended up getting absolutely soaked, took many a cool picture, and just had a blast. Man I love rain so much. - I hit my six month mark on friday! 1/4th of the way through my mission, and WOW that time flew by. I'll see y'all soon FOR REAL. - We had a zone activity today! First one of my entire mission! They aren't allowed in my mission, mainly for missionaries getting unproductive and casual n stuff like that. But some awesome leaders in our mission presidency invited our zone over for laborday! We played volleyball, and racketball, and we ate burgers and hot dogs that i was chosen to make! Kooking w/ Koby is back babeyyyyyyyyy! Definitely the biggest meal I've ever made. lots of people, but it was a good time!! ♥️Teaching Updates♥️ - Unfortunately, we didn't really teach anyone this week. Haven't found anyone new this transfer, but we have done SO much service. But when we've done service, a few things have happened. One, is that when we've done service for our friend with the chickens and the wasps, we have had some incredible gospel conversations. She isn't baptized yet, but lemme tell ya, she will be. Whether I'm here for it or not. She has had some mega hard trials recently, but knows that they are there for her to learn. She doesn't blame God or anyone else, it's amazing. We had some great discussion, and if we can ever get an actual lesson with her, she gon be baptized fr! ☀️Spotlight☀️ - Grayson Hardman. Man ily, your emails and face brighten up my day. Keep killin it in my stomping grounds, Reno Nevada! - Derek Gibbons had a birthday recently. Happy flippin birthday man! keep drinking that choccy milk babey! - Hadley Mikkelson also had a birthday, mand you da best. Hope it was SUCH a good one! ily! - My sister!!! Love you Kaela, and baby Ila :)))) 🔥My challenges for you🔥 Don't waste a moment. Live life without regrets. And I can promise you, the way to do that is through God. Go read my recent facebook post about the 3 divine truths, know how much God loves you, and LIVE<3 ⚓Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.⚓ - So, I'm gonna be a little honest here. Most of you know that I have struggled with a tad bit of anxiety and depression throughout my life. Well, I didn't really need to take my meds for it throughout college and the start of my mission, because I didn't need to. Well, I got through some trials on my mission, and as soon as I did, satan decided to go STRAIGHT for that. I started feeling really really bad. Completely shut down. But, here I am. Here we are. We are HERE. Our trials don't define us. We are SO loved. I love you all so much. I know that God does too. Jesus suffered for all of your sins. Whatever any of you are going through, I'm here for you. So is He. I love you!! Imma put my pictures in a separate email. I got a lot. Love you!!!!
