Week 7 -Email time babeyyyyyy

皆さん、こんにちは!

Welcome back, to the best semi half monthly missionary email you're gonna get from columbine colorado! (Chances are probably the only one too)

I do want to apologize for this email being a day late, we had zone conference yesterday so our p-day got moved to today! :))

Its been exactly one year since me and my family has lost my Uncle Josh. If you wanna head more about him, my last few Facebook posts talk about him, and the one I posted earlier today is a song I wrote for him last year. Miss you Josh ♥️♥️

I did get shouted out in Elder Adens email yesterday, I don't think I stopped smiling the rest of the day.
(Love you too bub)

Man, I barely even remember all that happened this week. Still haven't really found anyone to teach yet, and we had to drop a guy we were "teaching" previously. His name is Peter and he's this really cool Swedish guy, dope accent, who loves reading the Book Of Mormon. Has no interest in the church, just thinks the book is cool 😂😂 so we dropped him after he denied coming to church again. Not exactly sure how many times he's been invited before. Oh well. Facebook finding is hard 😂. All of you elders and sisters who are baptizing people every other week, tell me your secrets? Please? With a cherry on top? Ill write you a song?

I guess one eventful thing that happened is I got my first Pfizer vaccine shot. That was fun. I felt not great the last few days but it hasn't been too bad luckily.

We did exchanges with the Zone leaders, one of them some of you guys might recognize, his name is Elder Cade Hollingsworth, he graduated from lone peak in 2019. He's a super cool dude, I love the guy.

Last two things I'll talk about are basketball and an Insult Turned Spiritual™️

Me and Elder Bye has a service opportunity to help some special needs/severely mentally challenged peeps play some basketball. I helped out Selena mainly, she was the only one in a wheelchair so she had to be watched at all times for any stray basketballs. She had her own happened she would ride up to and "dunk" in. She got so excited each time. The pure joy these people get from something as simple as getting an inflated ball through a metal hoop is something we all need to focus on. We are all beneath them. Those amazing people are as close as we can get as humans, to being perfect. They don't have the burden of sin. They are already accepted. They have the purest of joy out of anyone I've ever seen. Be more like them.

The Insult Turned Spiritual™️ is an interesting one. Me and Bye were on a walk, a usual one we take around our apartment complex, when this guy rolled down his window and shouted something like "little Mormon boys!" At us in a demeaning tone. The girl in the car laughed like it was the funniest thing she'd ever heard, (🤨😐) and they drove off. I didn't look at them or react, because I didn't really fully register what he said until after they had drove off a little bit. But instead of feeling sad, annoyed, or mad, I only felt the spirit. I started smiling. Jesus Christ loves us. He is with us always. He has felt everything that we have, I am very grateful I had the opportunity to deny Him feeling any pain or sorrow from what that guy said. He instead, was walking with me, and smiled with me as well. He's got yo back, friends. Always.

Send chick fil a sauce,
~Elder Kobayashi
