Stories
- went on exchanges with elder durrant! back into grand mesa hahaha, they can't get rid of me apparently! my grave is marked in clifton
so, brother buddecke, one of my favorite members from my last area, pranked elder durrants greenie when they showed up by pretending to be a huge basher. so with that same greenie coming into our area, we ofc had to do the same thing. so, we called bro ficklin to prank elder davis just like bro buddecke did. he was so down. heck yeah
anyway, had a super fun day. went to a meeting which was fun. kinda pranker everyone cuz they weren't expecting me hahaha
we went to see miner!!!!! he was so happy i stopped by. mans cut his hair AND beard. it was crazy. but i do heccin love him! he's just the best. man, whatta guy minester
after that we went to sis johnsons for dinner, unfortunately dabecc cancelled on us so we didn't get to see her. we made food, talked a lot, and picked out some of bro johnsons ties n stuff:)
went to the buddecke's, just bro buddecke and andrew were there but it was still fun! just talked mostly haha
mutual with bishop, bro vincent, bro buddecke, and bro randall! good times. helped them set up the roku on the tv
met with the berries, did the madlib lesson. hecc yeah
re-exchanged, yeet. apparently bro ficklin pranked elder davis by answering the door shirtless. wish i was there to see it. man. good times
- went to dickeys for district lunch, pretty overpriced still. but this super nice guy named orin i think told us when we were done eating that he would give us all free ice cream:)) supposedly that happens at all dickeys according to elder paulk... but uh, i was still very appreciative of him. what a kind fellow to tell us we could get some anyway, free or not:))
- we then went to the big group bibble study! we got asked to lead but forgot to plan anything hahahaha. but if u know me.... you know i'm very good at winging it lol. so we did! and it was good:) our friend Cali came, and so did a bunch of other people!! it was a great turn out, and there almost was some,,,, spicy things happened but we got it calmed down hahaha
after that, while driving home, we saw a Sinclair dinosaur that was wearing an american flag bandana. i had a very impulsive thought to take a pic on it. one of the other elders made the decision for me. and uh, yeah. stego-saurus
- met with the saari's, and they told us bro saari was leave:(((( he goin to montana to live with his son so he can take better care of him. sister saari is staying here, so that's also big sad:( that uh,,,,, that they'll be separated hahahaha i love sister saari i promise
- went and did service at the berrie's, destroyed some fence. it was heccin sick. i love the berries. they showed us all their cool nerd stuff as well, i had to show elder paulk. frik yeah
- although... after that i had the big ankle hurty. idk why. wrapped it, and decided to limp around on a bike. didn't know that was possible but we still made mucho visits, and helped set up for bro saari's 95th b-day party!!
- benches was awesome. their granddaughter, McKinley, (who's like 3), went ham with hide and seek, it was so funny. my new names are "myth", "miff", and "nif". can't change my mind on that now. it was stinkin adorable
- p-day things, we played chair soccer, (which i won), blowpong, (which i also won), and around the world in ping pong! (spoiler alert.... i won) bahahaha not 100% truthful, i got down plenty during chair soccer, only won one of the games of around the world (ping pong version), and, well, i actually did destroy at blowpong. it took all 5 of the other players 15 mins to get me out while working together and while i gave them pointers to help them hahahaha. i swear i'm not tryna be prideful here... we had a great time as a district, everyone had small wins everywhere, and i definitely got rekt a fair amount. yeet
- so, my best friends kai and julia keawekane got married about a month ago!! i was a groomsman, which i've never been before, but at a wedding i wasn't at haha. they did, however, bring my 5 foot cardboard cutout my mom made when i left lol. so that's really funny
Teaching Updates
- met with april and sis johnson at the church, that was cool. went pretty much according to plan! she brought snacks, took notes of scriptures we referenced, and asked some good questions. expressed some frustrations once more for some her trials, we need to teach about the atonement pretty in depth. sister johnson was there, and offered some good insights. she accepted the invitation to read and pray about the BoM, and come to church tomorrow! we set up a ride with sister Bench:)
- so! cool thing happened. went to wave with da boys, saw A, our friend tikaboo's roommate on our way out!! that was a fun lil coincidence/miracle:) we asked if we could swing by that night and she was like ye
so, later that night, we visited! but A was feeling bad, so we just visited with tikaboo, but that was still good. yeah. she said she gon come to church. we shall seeeee hahaha. (spoiler alert, she did not)
- met this one hombre at the church... interesting hombre. super friendly tho, loves the church fs just believes in all of them. we gave him a BoM, he's read it before tho which is cool. he wasn't too interested in meeting with us, but said he was visiting from colorado springs and he knew some missionaries elsewhere. he came to second hour tho, and even gave a comment on the liahona and lehi's dream in the class! so that was kinda epic. but uh, yeah. kinda weird dood but hey he cool

My challenges for you
- heard this cool quote recently that went along the lines if this: maybe i need to change some things to get out of here, not just be lifted out by God. what did i do to get myself into this situation?
this week, i challenge you all to try to help yourself WITH the HELP of God. don't just ask Him to get you completely out of your situation. He gave you your agency, and your consequences from that agency for a reason.
what can you change??
