! welcome back to the semi-half-monthly email of the elder smith who accidentally did two #91 emails in a row... and had the same title and intro as well. that's my b hahaha. anyway, thank you for being here since the beginning of October for my email performance. if you've wondered why my titles have been so weird, go back and look at all of them in a row. it does.... something hahaha

apparently phones can wirelessly send battery to each other?????????? what the everloving fetch nuggets????????? why????? how??? i thought that was just a meme before the mish but it's real???? holy moley. sheesh.

Stories

- woke up to drop off wrightch:(((( big sad. glad to see him go tho. he wanted to very bad. so that was lit. kinda listened to the train the trainers meeting but ZL's were like nah. lol. been in that thing way too many times

- went to the soup kitchen for the blanket drive, saw president and sister landis. swept and mopped which brought back big Alpine Art Center vibes. twas fun tho

- that night went to walmart with the ZL's, and we saw sister colby! kinda cool miracle, we went the totally wrong way for what we needed but happened to see her, when the thing i needed i remembered was nowhere near there later on. so, therefore, God made me forget so i could see her and we could help her out cuz she struggle bussin. but yeah! during our convo with her, this weird guy came up and said some mean things and it didn't even phase me. just funny now.

- transfer bus got way delayed today, so we shoveled snow for a few peeps with the orchard mesa elders, (hallelujah i miss shoveling snow for people hahaha), met this one lady and swept her driveway cuz shovels didn't really work there haha. she was a sweetheart tho, and we gave her a passalong card!

- booshed to transfers, and picked up elder paulk! saw some homies. elder paulk is super cool, and i'm gonna love spending time with him. we have a lot in common, and he has a real funny and sarcastic sense of humor!

- made homemade pesto!! that was cool and fun. then we made cookies. wasn't hungry, didn't wanna eat any food but i wanted to make stuff. so yeah. now i have a lot of pesto and cookie dough and didn't eat a thing lol

- we helped set up for the Christmas party, that was fun! i got to hang up a lot of lights. i also got to sign up to perform at the party that night, and it was awesome. the stage, the lights, the guitar and microphone stands, i miss it so much. i also was asked to just go up and play a bunch of Christmas songs afterwards for ambient music and it was awesome! i got to be funny in the middle of the songs, talk to people, and be my normal goofy self. and sing a lot!!!! it was so fun.

Teaching Updates

 - well, we went and visited! felt good to be out of the apt after being in it all day. i was good at following the Spirit this night!! all of our night fell through, and i realllly didn't want to have just a boring night of facebook for my brand new missionary, so we visited the S's, who's daughter is a member but neither of the parents are! they were super nice and said we could come back and share a Christmas message next week!

- then, the Spirit told us to visit a member across the street! we shared a light the world message with them and they loved it! the kiddos wanted to do 5 things a day to light the world! we promised cookies if they did 

- then, the Spirit told us to visit tikaboo!! she was so grateful we came by, one of her friends had actually passed away earlier that day:( but she said we always happen to stop by when she needs us the most.... hmmmmmm... makes you think the church is true or sum. idk

- we also got a self referral who never recieved our text, so he called us! now that's dedication. we'll be visiting with him tonight, so wish us luck!!

My challenges for you

- be safe!!!! we've had a lot of accidents and missionaries getting into dangerous situations around here. and don't forget to keep lighting the world with His love!! i love you all!!!

Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.

- so, i've been thinkin a lot about covenants with God recently. and imma try to tie in Christmas because,,,, it's this week haha. we covenant with God at baptism to take Christ's name upon us. to follow His example. to.... reflect His light, if you will. there are many scriptures i could bring up on this but i don't have much time left, so i'll let you got find em!

Christ = the Son.

also has been related to = the Sun. cuz of light.

what reflects the suns light? the moon

so we can be the moon!! reflecting the light of the Son. i've written about this before, but this time i wanted to talk about being examples of Christ by lighting the world!! and His light is always the light we show to others. therefore, the moon! the moon is beautiful too, so hey that's cool. do it!
