🌈Stories🤌

- had DC. elder fetching durrant stole my dang room. so i uh.... got funny mad and definitely accidentally slammed the door a little too hard 😳 oops. he knows i love him tho hahaha he's like one of my best friends

- elder wright got his flight plans for brazil! well, almost. pfloyd called and told them to us tho! so that's exciting. gonna miss that kid. it's not happening until transfers tho so we chillin

- funnest part of wednesday night has to be mutual. all the youth were there, and i saw bro and sister vincent and bishop billings from my last ward so that was best case. all the youth around are lit af, so thats great. Anywho, elder durrant, stengel, guy, and galvan showed up so that was fun. had a blast playing missionary tag, did some SICK parkour, and tore some holes in my tan pants. but, good thing i wore em, cuz they were going downhill anyway aha

- first day of chrimis!! ate my first advent calendar chocolate:)) it's not the best chocolate... but it's nostalgia so that adds a lot of good stuff

- the big day! i couldn't fall asleep last night for the life of me. i was up until 4 bro. fetching 4. just tossing and turning and staying awake. i woke up at like 7:30ish, (because,,,,,,, i was still recovering from sick and i didn't fall asleep haha), and got ready, packed up, and dipped out to the bus. drove there with me mildly dying, but estar bien. met up with allll the homies. love u all. when we got to a place called avon to pick up some other missionaries. we got kinda stuck in the snow in the parking lot... then heard I-70 was closed. my first immediate thought was to say a group prayer. i didn't say it cuz everyone was standing and it was kinda chaotic. but we all went inside the tiny little avon building, to the chapel without any pews. i felt very prompted to invite the bus driver, todd, but he didn't want to join:(( anyway, we got in there, and knew we might be stuck for a good few hours. there was the option to go anyway, but the bus driver said he didn't want to endanger our lives like that. there was so much snow just outside, so i couldn't imagine what it was like further down the road. they asked for a volunteer to say a prayer, and ofc i immediately shot my hand up. the Spirit had been nudging me to say one the whole time. i started to say it, and when i was about to ask for an answer if we should leave or not, the Spirit stopped me mid-word. and all i felt from the Spirit to pray for.... was patience and long-suffering. man. that's hard. but, i did, and not even 5 minutes laher we got notified we could leave haha. so that was a pretty cool experience. i love the Spirit:) and prayers!! they work!!

- we finally arrived in denver a little after 6:00, (only 2 hours behind schedule, so not that bad haha) but my ears were so pressurized i could barely hear anything. literally everything sounded like it was underwater. it was so weird... i had to go to the bathroom and blow my ears out like 7 times to try and sorta fix em haha. saw SO many dang homies, it was awesome.

- we had an awesome devo, where Sister Floyd told the story of the "4th" wise man. i love that story so much. heard some other good testimonials, sang some lit hymns, and heard some awesome musical numbers. President Floyd invited us to  "bring our faith", which I absolutely LOVED. the rest of my thoughts on the 4th wise man will be in the Jesus Moment:))

- got to stay with my boi elder canada! i went to EFY with him, so i was super excited. it was so fun. memes, memories, and a few pranks were pulled. gotta love it

- didn't get great sleep that night either unfortunately, but better than the 3½ the night before haha. got maybe 5-6 so it wasn't awful. we dipped out to see Suares, and got to go out of the mission 😳😳 dang

got in there, sat next to my boi elder shumway cuz it was a great spot to see everyone haha. we took pictures and i met some cool elders, we had a good time. elder suares is awesome, he came in and was already joking around a little bit haha. we had an awesome devotional. it was just phenomenal. Bishop Waddell was super fun and funny and gave an incredible talk about beginning with the end in mind. meaning, the temple. that's what we're preparing people for. lasting conversion babeyyyy

Elder Valenzuela gave a talk showing us a lot of love, as well as talking about helping others be committed, and stay there. also lasting conversion:) and how we can change the way we extend commitments to help our friends!

Elder Suares. man. it's always crazy to me to have an apostle like,,, 10 feet away from you. we also got to shake his hand! His talk was all about us. till the last breath of our lives representing, and testifying of Christ. how important we are to the 12 Apostles, the Prophet, and the Lord. Commitments of ourselves, goals, and plans. about choosing to, and helping others choose to get back to our Heavenly Father. he shared some very personal tragedies in his life, and how we can't take any of this stuff lightly. we must go on. we must have faith. we are being prepared, because life is hard. it's not meant to be easy. and he told us, an Apostle of the Lord, that Preach My Gospel is revelation, and modern day scripture. i really couldn't agree more. my most favorite part other than everything else that was amazing, was that we need to stop just,,, contacting people. we need to have a testimony of our purpose, (and he phrased that as if to all people, not just missionaries), and he said that we need to be a witness. it was awesome. his nose was very runny but who cares haha, it was amazing.

- we got our stuff and food, said some goodbyes, and got back on the bus! and then, another very eventful avon stop haha.

but after we dropped off all the avon peeps, and before we got on a main road, the bus driver stopped, and someone said the word: "push". so, a bunch of other dudes, (myself included), went out cuz we assumed we were pushing the bus cuz it had gotten stuck. it was actually a guy out in front of us who was stopped right where we needed to turn haha. and he wasn't stuck in the snow - he had dropped his vape between the console and the seat, and had tried to reach and grab it and had gotten his hand completely stuck, wedged in between in console and the seat. and this guy sees a bus pull up, and a whole flock of mormons PILE out of it. because we thought we all needed to push the bus, right? so most of us go back in the bus, and i went and grabbed some lotion i had to help free him. mans was flustered, i think he mentioned: "the frikin missionaries", and made a joke about a blessing or somethin. and he didn't want to use the lotion cuz the car was a rental?? idk bro. but he was so stuck he had called 911 and a firetruck rolled up when we were talking to him. it was a very interesting time, and super funny. one of the other elders, elder brown, literally said to him: "so what did we learn?" 😂😂😂😂

- after we went to this one family for dinner where they told us the horrific ways their hamsters had died, and all their other pets. they all had real funny names. they also conscripted us to bring some food to a brother sparks in the ward as a gift:) (i call him grandpa sparky). he's a vietnam vet, and just a hilarious dude. love that guy. we delivered the food on our bikes, hence the lord-dash haha. pics are in the other email:)

- we went to the monument, which was awesome. saw some cool things, took some dope pics, and just vibed honestly

♥️Teaching Updates♥️

 - nada for this week tbh. we were gonna have dinner with tikaboo and hopefully start teaching her two friends, but they cancelled. we also got back in contact with our other two peeps tho! so that's good! and we got some super promising potentials. i hope i'll have much to report to you next week, when i'm feeling 100% better!

- kaela hehe, thanks for doing that for me:))

- my momma. love you:))🌹

- mio padre! thanks for talking:) hope you had fun in seattle!!!

🔥My challenges for you🔥

- become a witness:) don't just go through the motions, but actually know Him well enough to be a witness that He lives. i wish i could expound upon this more, but i don't have time

⚓Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.⚓

- so, the story of the 4th wise man. he tried to find the Christ child, but could not. he did everything he could to get to his King, but was so kind and helpful to everyone else he saw that he never did. but like the scriptures say in Matthew,

chapter 25 verse 40:
"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

don't you just love how it even uses the title 'King' just like in the story?? man i love it.

but, as we do things to others, we do it unto Christ.

Mosiah 2:17
"when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God"

mucho love to you all as always!! 🤟♥️
