Stories
- monday night, we went to sister thompsons, cuz she asked us to swing by. she gave us Christmas presents!!! and her dog flipped out too... kinda spooky. we felt very unsafe on the way home, and it was a bit of a bike ride.
- tuesday was a stacked day. started out with chrimis zonk conk, which was SO fun.
got there, saw many a homie. we had both zones in GJ there so there twas a phat chunk of peeps. got to see elder bales, shumway, stevens, (he's so frikin funny), debauch, ur mom, e ward, and many many others.
we played volleyball first, on my team was sis fielding (real good at serves), sis debauch (for whatever reason was really lucky), e hatch (very tall and good at spiking), e hafen (my grandson and INSANELY good at volleyball), e wright (just jacked as frik so he did good), and then me (honest not half bad but def the worst on the team haha). but nah i had some good touches, good serves, and it was a blast. we went 9 wins 1 loss, and had 7 wins in a row. so easily the best team out of the 6 that were made there.k boom baby. i just make sarcastic one liners and dap/hype people up for doing good. frik ye
we did the white elephant gift exchange, i can confidently say that my sock monkey slippers were a very hot commodity. got stolen one of the most, feels good. president floyd stole my ramen that i got tho. so that's lame. i got it back doe hehe. along with brownie mix and some treats. then i bought elder galvans gift for $10, it had 5 hot wheels, some candy, and real nice playing cards. definitely a dub
there was also a telescope, a santa hat w/ an olaf, a little stuffed dinosaur, and the frikin turtle that sings and moves that were the other most stolen gifts. good times tho, very funny
we then wrote notes for people like first responders, veterans, orphans, ur mom, etc. watched mr krueger's Christmas, and had lot's of testimonies! it was good stuff. i love those big meetings!
- met with this family, the reeds, and sister reeds mother is sister harrison!!!!!! one of my members from the last ward i served in:)) she's living with them ever since her husband died, who passed right before i left my last area. they had me big sing. brought my guitar on my bike and yeah, it was fun! they had a tortoise!!! he was so cute!!! i love turtles:)))
- christmas eve was awesome! mostly.... we had a meeting that's kinda far away by bike, so that's always annoying. we're also always the last ones there, no matter what haha. but on the way back i hit a patch of leaves and,,,, well, there was much more than leaves in there hahaha. i had about 10 of those pokey weeds, (goat heads?), in each tire. but we somehow made it to our lunch, and back to our apartment without it going flat! then it got flat hahaha. rest of the story in the teaching updates!
- we ate at a dope members house that night, they had some more members over and it was the weirdest yet most delicious christmas eve meal i've ever had i swear. we had: ham, apple cider, chips and dip, the usual stuff, then also: mexican rice, tamales, deep fried jalapeno poppers, some other really good mexican spicy little thingies. there were some INSANELY spicy things there. i do pretty good with spicy, even enjoy it! but some of that stuff.... made my eyes water and my mouth. BURN. twas tasty tho! it's just like the first spicy stuff i haven't been able to kinda handle haha. i still did good tho;)
at the beginning of the dinner tho, their 11 year old girl challenged elder paulk and i to a race. heck yeah. then the dad joined so i knew i had to go all out. i got 2nd place, and her dad was just like 5 feet ahead of me hahaha. poor girl fell and scraped her knee up real bad tho:(( she was super sad at first, but then promptly spent the whole rest of the night telling me how cool the scar was gonna look, how she was gonna send me picture updates, and then proceeded to take off the bandaid to show me all the blood. fun stuff! i love kiddos so much hahahaha I entertained them almost all night hehe. then we walked our flat bikes home!
- Christmas was awesome! i had kinda two Christmases, one with my mom and fam on Christmas eve, and the other on Christmas with my dad and fam:) although his main gift package never showed up:/ but it's all good! i got to talk to my family a lot, and i love that more than anything:)))) i did get some cool ties, a sweater, a hand warmer/phone battery pack, and some covers for my bike wheels for biking in the rain:) it was awesome!
- church was great, and i actually got mad inspiration there. it's what a lot of my spiritual stuff at the end there is made off of!! we also ate at an awesome members house, and they gave us Christmas gifts!!! we also played a little card game, and watched mr krueger's Christmas again with them:)
- the only eventful thing we did today was go to texas roadhouse hahaha. but it was very tasty. i accidentally blew straw wrapper off my straw at elder vowles and it TOTALLY dodged his face and LANDED ON TOP OF THE HAIR BUN OF THE LADY IN THE BOOTH BEHIND US. BUT NOBODY NOTICED. WE WERE DYINGGGG BRO. DYING.
Teaching Updates
- started teaching BANJO WOOHOOOOOO! when he didn't get our message yesterday, he called US. dang. we set up a meeting for tonight! it went great, here's an excerpt from our lesson report:
"Markus is awesome! He sought us out entirely, and off the bat said he wanted to join the church and be baptized, like it commands us to in the Book of Mormon. He's already read the whole book, and has a triple combination and's also gotten through most of the D&C and pearl of great price. also had a gospel principles book he had read maybe ¾ths of that book as well! he's had some crazy life experiences, read the Bible cover to cover, and we testified of most of the Restoration. he already knew a bunch tho! like a whole lot! want's to meet every day so he can get baptized as soon as possible, and apparently showed up to church yesterday at 9:45 randomly! he's super awesome, very willing and excited to learn. has some interesting views, but nothing too out of whack. believes everything in The Church, at least!"
mans has never met with missionaries before, and just whips out a triple combination and a gospel principles book. so cool. had some crazy dreams, some awful evil experiences, ran like 100 miles, and yeah. super cool dude.
the second time we had met with him, he had bought white shirt!! oh my goodness!!! i love him!!
the third time we met with him we taught the first lil bit of the Plan of Salvation, and he loved the scriptures we brought up about Christ and God being separate beings. and Joseph Smith. man this guy is elect. we gave him some of our ties cuz he got the white shirt

although, he did have some really rough times right after that... please keep him in your prayers! his faith is so strong!!
- other than that..... not much new with the teaching peeps, heh. tikaboo is off the grid, we dropped 7th day don, and She is almost always out of town. keeps almost coming to church tho. i even brought her cookies once!!! like b r u h but anywho,

My challenges for you
- use the 'star' to guide us to the Savior
this was a note i took during sacrament meeting. i've had a lot of thoughts i've loved about Christ and His birth recently. it's changed my perspective about Christmas entirely this year! a lot more of my thoughts on this are gonna be in the Jesus moment just below, so my invitation to you is to read it, thoroughly. and ask yourself,
"what does the birth of Christ mean to me" and write down what it is:) when i started to write that, i had no idea where it would go. i assume you won't have a clue either. but i started writing, and the words came out:)) so do it!! the words will come!!! and i know it's after Christmas, but should we ever stop thinking about the greatest gift of Him? nah, didn't think so
Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.

and merry chrysler:)
