Hei ihmiset! welcome back to the semi-half-monthly email of ya boi, elda kobo.

man. uhhh once i was 7 years old. good song. maybe gospel principles? idk if unconsecrated. but haven't heard it in a year and a half so hey that's cool! 

This week's summary! (for my TLDR folks)

Stories

- gave lot's of blessings this week! it was awesome. our member even gave a talk on blessings, it was sweeeeet! 

- crawled under the house again. pulled out 44 full buckets of 5 gallon food storage this time. yikes. hard work, but fun!! i learned why gorillas run around on their fists and feet, instead of their hands and knees. i looked like an idiot plenty o' times, i'm sure, but i had fun!! and don't have hurt wrists or knees. heh.

- visited with sister rice, she's super sweet and awesome! has a cat named hercules. he's dope too. many pets were given this day. we gave sister rice a blessing too tho, because she's going in for shoulder surgery soon and it's the one arm she has a hand on, the other is amputated. so she's freaking out cuz she won't be able to use anything at all... but we gave her a blessing and she said it felt so warm... i love the Spirit.

- this exchange with elder reyes was honestly one of the best exchanges i ever had. 

helped the one church up there again, and we got balsamic glaze, pasta, and bread. yum! we also got to help dump loads of cardboard into this weird cool compression thingy. idek. big hole. smashy smash

we also made some fun visits, and talked a TON about being better missionaries. check out my Jesus moment if u wanna hear about all that:) good exchange.

- went and did service for the myers, helped them unpack and move a shed. good times! twas quite fun. ate sandwiches, talked about stuff, had a blast.

- so, we got a text from our member asking if we were free for dinner! we actually had none set up, so we said absolutely! miracles right? then she's like: cool! you're cooking tho:). so uh, i went over and made chicken fajitas for all of us! it was a good time!

Teaching Updates

 - started teaching Frikin' A's friend! i know, but that's how i'm finna remember her. her friend, D, (nickname TBD), is awesome. they totally agreed to pray about baptism even, on the first meeting! we know they finna be solid. awesome people!

- dabecc on date - here's how it went: she said she was strugglin, so we went over there to see if we could help. talked a lot about what she was going through, and about how God's timing helped us meet her and how perfect it all was. she sees that her life has been getting worse since we met and everything has been going downhill, and she knows it's cause she's getting close to the church. we asked how she would feel praying about being baptized and her exact words were "why don't i just do it"?? so, let's go. love her. then she gave us a pizza.

-  felt impressed NOT to go to bro sheds, and lo and behold, there was brother dub on the road grabbing something real quick out of the bed of his truck! Gods timing really is something. especially because we even randomly turned back in the last visit we tried to make to sister sherman, and spent an extra... idk maybe 5-10 seconds there? if we hadn't done that tho, we wouldn't have run into him! I sensed something.... off with him. he asked us to please call his wife and get something set up with them. love that man. he has a beard now, that's cool

- started teaching our member's fiance! we'll call her ab. she's awesome tho! has a dope racist dog. loves me! did not like elder reyes. hm. yikes.

Spotlight

- sophia!!! ur awesome. pleaseeeeeeee pleasepleaseplease never forget how strong and awesome you are!!! you got this dude. i heccin love ya!

- tyson. u do so much for everyone bro, i love you so much. rarely met a more loyal friend than you!!!

- enrique. been a while since u got one of these! ur dope dude. thanks for the voice clips!!! i will most definitely get back to u next week hehehe:)

- gusti!!! i love you!! i used ur language:)

- all my old CDSM peeps: they took out KTC, phone audits, and the common questions doc??? dang bro. we being spirit led out here!! kinda funky tho. if u wanna hear more, hmu doe. I definitely have faith that this is the way to go. pres. floyd explained it in such a beautiful way, he's awesome

My challenges for you

- take your favorite talk from general conference, and find another talk by that speaker. listen, and take notes! if you haven't listened to all of conference, then that's the challenge for you, friend:)

Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.

- some things i loved that i learned on my exchange with Elder Reyes:

1. what gets me going in the morning? it should ever be about "i feel". need to learn to live on even a few short hours of sleep sometimes.

2. we have to choose. it has to start with us. we must be obedient. we must never do anything that distracts from our missionary purpose. we can't let anything stop us from the work. this is literally the only time we get to do it.

3. we talked about so much. he helped me realize part of why i came on a mission. i knew God had commanded me. i knew i could be worthy and able. i knew that i had to rely on God for everything. I knew He was the only thing that saved me from myself. but, i do know, that it was only through the strength and power of God that i did.
