YEET. love him
- met with the gonzalez's! they have. a DOG. NAMED. SYLPHRENA. OHHHHHH MYYYYYY GOSHHHHHHHH. we nerded out all night. they're so lit. love them so much. and their baby is extremely cute. lets frikin go
- we stopped at maverick. almost helped some people break into a car. oops. this dog was cute, and the owner did like 3 double takes at us. said he was John Moss, shook my hand like 3 times, and gave us 20 bucks. just an amazing super cool guy. finna find him. somewhere.
- stopped by dabecc's, they were chillin outside as usual. guess what she did? COMPLIMENTED MY TIE. LET'S FRIKIN GO. showed em some pushups, talked about some cool stuff like polygamy, missions, girls, a crazy party yesterday where dabecc's best friend squirted her son in the eye with breast milk, STRAIGHT FROM THE BREAST, and her neighbor who lives in the garage next to her who was currently.... doing the boink while we were there. he came out and lit off a massive firework. twas sick. not.... not the other part tho. man you see and hear some crazy things on the mission
- service for kathy! helped her move stuff from the storage sheds. used our truck for truck things!!! love it when that happens. it rained the whole time tho, so it was very epic. we punched the crap out of a mattress, kathy thought it was hilarious so she video'd it. i also slashed it up with my knife. that was fun!
- service for hamblens, scooped a bunch of gunk n stuff out of the concrete ditch they have. it was sick. i got splatted hardcore with mud. good times, good times. got to pet bentley, their golden retriever puppy. also held a frog. best case.
- we weekly planned, got sonic, and went to a members to help her set up a sprinkler system? yeah. i know how to do that now
becoming perfect hubby material, since i can dig holes and trenches, and glue pipes together. what more could you want in a man? either way, it was super fun! we did end up leaving for like 15 minutes to help the harrisons with their groceries, which was funny. we helped them even check every item off. yup. good times.
- bro raburns, scooter is funny as always. left a BoM on the table for his wife to "find". didn't work out the way i wanted it to. but, the effort was extended tho. it was extended.
- next few are from my exchange with Elder Hanks!!! love that man. tall, funny, has the most contagious and hilarious laugh out of anyone i've ever heard.
- did service for sis boydstun the elder, grabbing a bunch of cabinets n stuff from this dude. she's so funny. and so cool. after we moved a bunch of stuff she told us an incredible story about her husband and many spiritual experiences there. she also asked us some dang lit questions about what daily planning was gonna look like after the mish? like how we'll plan our days? it was a dope question. love her to pieces. haven't really had a relationship before now, all u gotta do is serve em. hecc ye
- did service at our neighbors, her husband was very nice!! pulled lots of dope weeds tho, twas a good time. she was very sad she couldn't come. apparently we're good people to talk to or something.... that.... that might say something... idk......
- grubbed with the hamblens! first official member meal! got wings. ohhh yeah. so fun. shared some fun mission stories, had a great time! love them:) sis hamblen the elder kept roasting us for not getting more food. love them!!
- we got to church and there wasn't a single youth. not one. so... the sacrament was up to us. literally. some kids did show up that we enlisted to help tho, who don't usually help with the sacrament. i almost blessed by myself. twas crazy times
- got more homemade wings at our sunday member meal. ah man i love wings
- had a fun p-day! We hit up Miner and went rock hunting! hiked a lot, found pretty much nothing, and Miner couldn't even go all the way with us cuz he's... well.... he's 75 so he can't do much hahaha but it was a blast!
Teaching Updates
WED - so, started off mildly slow. just went and snabbed my meds pretty much, edited my new fb intro vid. whilst grabbing meds, got a lady's number who's grandson is leaving on a mission soon! her name is {{REDACTED}} and she's very nice:)
WED - Miner! had a good lil meeting with him. sat outside, talked about the mysteries of God, and he mentioned how he does everything except for go to church. kinda went a weird way to bring that up too, wasn't what we were talking about at all. man's has the spirit yelling at him and he don't even KNOW IT. we finna go rock hunting with him on monday tho so that's lit:))
WED - then, we dipped to the hospital to meet with our boy BD. (nickname TBD) a nurse complimented me on my green floral tie:) but BD, he was dope! very tired and dead. but loved the message, loved us, his daughter said that he needed to get closer to God and then that she had to go and that happened to be right when we knocked on his hospital door. so uh, yeah. kinda cool. he thought it was dope! he wants to meet multiple times a week:)) woohoo!
WED - felt a thought to go stop by the..... smith's. can't get much more generic than that amirite??? and they were there! so were some kiddos, but we talked and vibed with them for a while, found out the wifey was actually unbaptized, and uh yeah we started teaching them! talked about firecrackers, bugs, jobs, heat, all sorts of stuff. really built a relationship, and they're both very down to read the BoM and come to church possibly! so epic. so cool. they were so down. she also complimented my tie
WED - walking back from the smiths, we talked to a guy named Red. frikin epic. he was wearing a red shirt. so was his wife. not interested, but gave us a referral! his neighbor, who had like 3 chargers. frikin sick.
- gave that guy in the house i randomly deemed as elect a BoM. and he took it!!! Had us sign it and everything, love him
- had a good time with the koopa troopas. the kiddos went insane bonkers as usual. at one point, gus, koopa troopa T and i all had katanas and were fighting while the two little ones were screaming at us to kill each other. i then almost killed T. was spinning around the swords and whipped one EXTREMELY hard into his arm. coulda been his head i guess. still felt real bad. never even felt it slip, it was just gone. rip. they were very forgiving and my brain will now never let this leave me. the small kiddos drew on my board a lot too. twas a good time!
OKAY THIS IS THE BIG ONE THIS US COOL READ THIS ONE \/
- idk whether to throw this into the teaching or story section, but i have a lot in stories so teaching as it is! we started out NOT with weekly planning like we should've, but instead had our neighbor ask us if we could help move her daughter. we graciously accepted the invitation to leave the zone, do service, hit up our neighbor and her daughter and impart some missionary wisdom on them, AND procrastinate weekly planning. we got there, helped her move some stuff, then we started talking. she mentioned her husband had passed away about a year and a half ago, and that he had been a member. she then said that the Plan of Salvation had helped her more than anything. woah. we kept talking and then she said she wanted her family to be sealed in the temple??? said that that was the end goal. dang. dang. we asked if we could hook her up with the missionaries over where she was moving, and she got really excited. "you can do that? you're that connected??" and we said, yeah. we can have their number in like 5 minutes through this little app we have. she was ecstatic. it was so amazing. we kept talking, and she brought up the fact that her husband had died in an extremely unfortunate way, and she didn't know if he would be forgiven. i bore testimony of how my uncle had died the same way, and that i had received an extremely strong witness that he had been forgiven on the other side, and that God knows where we are in life. (hi ellaaaw, i love you
) God always understands, and loves us. He is a God of infinite second chances. we all felt the spirit INCREDIBLY strongly. she kept touching her chest, it was going CRAZY in my heart. it was so amazing. we helped her finish, and she reminded us to find the missionaries for her where she was moving before we left. elect. it was one of the most amazing times on my mission. i will never forget it.
Spotlight

- last but not least, my comp. Elder Gustafson. Gus. we got news recently that he's heading out to La Republica Dominicana next monday. known for a week or two, but yeah. man. we had a good 3 transfers together so i'm not mad about that, but i hate it when my best friends leave the mission. they all seem so far awayyyyyyyy. (all of you who have left and are far away, you know who you are. nerds.) but yeah. he'll have a big long thing next week as well. i'm sure i'll have many more emotions, as kob usually does.
My challenges for you
- here are some notes i took from our lesson in church! it was all about sharing the gospel, and man we had some good comments from members n stuff!
1. converting others isn't our job. it's the spirit's job
2. the greatest thing you can teach someone is how to learn and recognize the Spirit
3. we don't need to teach everyone all aspects of the gospel, just share parts of our lives
4. anticipate, don't expect. then there's no disappointment.
5. one of the reasons we are commanded to share the gospel is to teach us to rely on the Spirit to help us
6. nobody in other churches are scared to invite. satan has a hold on us to be scared to invite, because we have the truth.
you know that one scripture where Christ says "the world hated me first" when talking to His disciples about future persecution? i'm too lazy to look up the reference but yeah. that.
the challenge is to share the gospel in some way this week! take one of these points and use it! small and simple, love share, invite, all the good stuff:)
Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.
