Stories
- monday night: i had a lot of energy, so we had a fun night!! visited some peeps, one answered and was like... thursday or friday. so yeet. other lady was super nice!!! really wanted us to come back:) just wasn't feeling good with crazy allergies. love nice people tho. tried finding this one lady, left a note cuz we didn't know what was poppin
- visited the koopa troopas, apparently Bro koopa troopa prayed hard this morning and then we showed up. he thought that was pretty cool! he went on for a while about a lot of stuff, he was a titch drunk but not too bad, still in control of himself. saw their kiddos shared some testimonies, comin back on thursday. awesome family. "outrageously polite", as gus called them. couldn't agree more.
- dipped to the harrisons, fell asleep about half that lesson. man falling asleep like that does weird things to your brain. just almost said some weird things. subconscious is whack. then other times i woke up and kept taking the conversation exactly where it needed to be. so funny.
- buddeckes lesson was frikin lit. bro buddecke shared some HILARIOUS prank stories about roku, turning off the lights on kids, and then at his work setting up a camera light and pranking the crap outta his coworkers. so lit. then talked about minecraft and hiking and visiting again after the mission. so excited for that, i love them
- did service for our boy paul, helped him pick up a bunch of sticks. and by a bunch i mean 3 bags full. yikes. it was a ton. cement too. he kept asking us cool doctrinal questions the whole time, it was kinda sick.
- made some bomb pesto pasta n chicken for dinner. it was... weird. cooked WAY fast. like,,,, too fast. i had like a whole 20 minutes to eat. God was helping me out in that, that i know. shouldn't have had that much time.
- went to the FSY stake youth thing. it was MAD fun. we played human foosball, went hard. i was the goalie, accidentally whapped myself in the face then kicked the soccerball really hard into another small child's face. goalie is tough stuff. twas fun just booting it each time tho.
- did service for kathy! moved many a rock. dog was there, bentley. GOOD. BOY. HEWASSUCHAGOODBOYOHMYGOSHILOVE
- we spent like an next hour comparing every missionary with the naruto characters on the poster gus has. i've never seen it, but he has so i just paired people up based off of the looks and he told me if it was accurate or not
- made a toasty visit to see not the owner. but ducks! they were not crispy. we were tho SO hot. not 106 tho, so blessings!
- started exchanges with pear park! yeet i love elder durrant
did some service for the madsens! vibed with roxie and sis madsen for a hot min afterwards. and when i say hot min, i mean it. twas fetching TOASTY. but i pulled mucho morning glories so i'm happy with it. love those weeds for some reason.
made some visits, nobody answered, nothing worked out. we still worked hard, but yeah. it was kinda annoying, but oh well. that's missionary work for ya.
- visited with the steins, they're awesome:) haven't been active for a while, but they'll be coming back. we talked about the temple and the amazing spirit that's there. i even got heccin emotional, and that never happens. we stayed honestly quite a while, but it was really good visit tho, we helped em out a bunch i think. they want to get back into church, go to the temple, and pray and read scriptures more. they also gave us pizza:) good people. just very good people.
- went fishing on the mesa today with a bunch of cool missionaries. we went to like 4 different lakes, (there are about 300 up there) and i did not catch a SINGLE thing. re.
Teaching Updates
- went to bro Sheds, that was cool. very Spirit-led. i brought up acts 19 cuz mt scriptures just flipped to it, and gus brought up a scripture in john that was so perfect. i love teaching in unity with no plans. so cool
(few days later) dipped and went to do family history center, which was locked. frikin hecc. did some work with Bro Shed and bro potter! bro potter's a legend and showed him the chapel without us doing anything. love it when members do that
visited bro shedron, shared some patriotic scriptures with him. got political, ofc hahaha. i feel asleep in the middle of a sentence, and kept talking. didn't make much sense but hey it works? he showed us his big stamp collection. frikin dope
- went to debecc's, sister buddecke came with us. shared just a teeny tiny bit of the Plan of Salvation, debecc did NOT like the "chalkboard" lmao, but it worked out. sister buddecke bore powerful testimony of trials. they're all the best.
tried to get debecc to a baptism and to church. she dipped on both. heccin hecc. her bf's daughter drew a ukulele on my hand tho, while i ate an ice cream cone and pet their pitbull. see pictures for proof hehehe
- once upon a time we were just driving, and i looked at a house and said "i know someone elect lives in that house." later on, we visited!! this dope guy he's frikin awesome. so cool, so loving, and he isn't quite ready to take a Book of Mormon yet but he will. him or someone else in that house is elect
Spotlight
- uhhh everyone i didn't respond to this week. sorryyyyyyyyy
My challenges for you
- go to the temple!! we talked a lot about temples in church this week, and i reminisced on all the times i got to go with my productions friends and my family. it's so worth it. some people sacrifice their entire life's savings to go ONCE so they can be sealed with their families. if it's nearby, even 10 hours!! so much less of a sacrifice! do it:) and if you can't, get to the point where you can! the best biggest most awesome blessings come from the temple.
Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.
