This week's summary! (for my TLDR folks)

☆ most eventful thing that happened this week is we had a pet cat for about 20 minutes. named him marvin. had way too many lit photos and vids but, alas, my sd card hates my phone.

☆ lots of cool service!

☆ our friend... i forgot the nickname i gave him. we'll call him dave. dating inactive member, apparently he's not actually interested. lame.

☆ zone service!!!! super fun!! anyone on here remember Eden Swogger?

☆ rain!! not.... not much but enough to still give me the big serotonin

☆ got to bless the sacrament. man i love doing that

☆ we hiked very wrong... but God answers prayers and mountains are fun to climb off the trail

Stories

- so, late at night, our neighbor knocks on our door. asks for our help in closing an umbrella she can't. we help. close the door. Elder Gustafson then looks at me, and says: "the cat's in here."

"what??"

"the cat. it's under the bed"

so, apparently a cat ran into the open door of our apartment whilst we were helping this lady. named him marvin, and we talked to him as if he was our son. oh, the things missionaries will do when given no other way of entertainment. we basically just chased him around, gained his trust, then set him free... it was sad but.... we don't have the ability to take care of a cat hahaha. twas fun tho!

- visited these cool people, they let me play their very nice ukulele and guitar. twas very fun! they aren't interested tho, which is big sad.

- dug some stuff, raked some stuff, picked up some stuff, had a good time! i love service:))

- did some zone service! it was awesome! if anyone here remembers Eden Swogger, either from into the woods or skyridge, she's in my zone now! super fun! we all helped out at a big christian church's food bank. it was super fun! got an awesome zone:)

- got to bless the sacrament! always love giving others that blessing. it feels so good:) kinda sad that we don't have any priests to do it tho haha 

- we went on a super cool hike today! it was so awesome, but we ended up losing the trail, and hiking up a VERY snowy mountain like straight up with our feet slipping all the way down in the snow. we found the lake, the actual trail, and followed it back. very fun tho!

Teaching Updates

 - so, you know how last week was just amazing? yeah... this week was a bit of a flop. but her some cool successes are:

- we got frog bus lady to seriously think about getting sundays off! or to quit. yup.

- miner is now praying to Heavenly Father instead of Jesus! which is great!

- kinda had a sorta lesson with this cool daughter of a member who's 14, could be very promising! i'll let you know next week:)

- kaden storrrrssssss my GUY!!! HAPPY FRIKIN BIRTHDAY on wednesday my dude!!!  hope it's such a good one, keep killin it in wisconsin! don't eat any more 'chunk'!

- FOMBA! happy frikin birthday from two days ago also!!! i heccin love and miss ya, you CUTIE! congrats for turning 12  but fr there's nobody more kind, and fun, and forgiving, and just heccin awesome than this STUD of Israel right here. i even looked up the recipe for a stud muffin the other day and all it said was: "Fomba" so idk but that says it all. ain't nobody i'd have be my one and only brother in law:)) love you bro!!!!!

- MISKINNNNNN happy birthday on sunday:))) ily:))))) wish we had more time together  u da bomb.com tho

- he ain't on here, but HUGE shoutout to my comp, Elder Cole Gustafson. idk what i'd do without you, Elder-bro. best friend fo life frrrr. just heccin love this funny, amazing, talented stud of an Elder. helped me through SO much. ah man. you the best

- Elder Gee  i love thee. hehe. that ALL rhymed i am the best. kk but i do love u tho :))

- hh ~ congrats on STL!

- HAZ ~ IM SO HAPPY I'M IN UR HOME WARD NOW HEHEHEH also late congrats on ZL agen:)

- Logan! thanks for always being a huge support and someone i can ALWAYS count on, no matter what. love you buddy 

- time for memorial day stuff. i didn't have any relatives killed in the war, (maybe ancestors i don't know about), but i did have those who served. and i've met a lot of people who've served as well. i don't know if i could do it. this one goes out to my great grandpa, and my grandpa mark! amazing people! and anyone else who's served or is currently serving

My challenges for you

- the beauty of repentance. it's so, so, so beautiful. but it's not just saying sorry. we can do that all day long but it won't matter if we don't change! we must be humble, and change. it's hard, but it's the most amazing thing you can ever do.

challenge for this week is to sincerely repent:) get down on your knees, and ask God what you need to do and change to be better. you will never feel more love for yourself or from God, i promise!

- today i want to talk about the Word

John 1:1

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

notice the capitalizations. Word is capitalized for the same reason we always capitalize any name of God, or even the pronouns used to mention Him. the Word IS God. Jesus Christ. The Word was WITH God. Heavenly Father. boom. the Word of God is also: scriptures. double boom. yup.

 Foundation of Faith in Christ scriptures 

- 1 Nephi 15:17 ~ it comes to pass, (the restoration), by us, so the Lord can show His power unto us. so many blessings

- 1 Nephi 15:24 ~ whosoever holds fast to the word of God will never perish, temptations and fiery darts of the adversary will never lead them into destruction

- 1 Nephi 15:25 ~ exhort them with all our energy to heed God, & keep His commandments in all things
