Stories
- so, we were meeting our BEST friend Berry at a park when we got transfer news, it came out like four hours late, so we read it with her when we found out i was getting transferred to the Grand Mesa ward up in clifton! very close to grand junction, and man it's a cool area. we have Palisade nearby in our area, which is famous for it's peaches! and oh man, it's beautiful!!! i'm loving it SO much!! but we said goodbye, mainly through text as to save time and still do good missionary work throughout the day, and uh, yeah! it was a very bittersweet moment, i had 6 months in montrose and i love it with my whole heart. i'm sure i'll love this area too! wherever God needs me to be:)
- so, right before we left for transfers, we got called to the church by our bishop. our homie cheeto had just,,, walked into the church and asked us to come by. he showed us a cool gang sign that i probably will try my hardest not to repeat even tho it is kinda fun. but hey, he believes in all the articles of faith so that's awesome!
- transfers rolled around! got to see WAY too many homies. said hi, took pictures, and then, switched all the luggage around, and went to Clifton! which may be a little sketch, but hey now i got a Tacoma so we mad chillin
AND i get to be companions with Elder Gustafson, who i've been in the same zone as before and i CANNOT wait
- one of our boys we're teaching owns a gas station and we got cool hats there. lessgo
- we've given out around 8 copies of the Book of Mormon this week, 4 to some cool kids we started ballin up with on the street, and 4 to some of our new friends we started teaching! 2 each:) one already had a Book of Mormon, so coulda been 9 but estar bien
- right before i got transferred, Elder McLelland and i went to Chili's, and they were playing a bunch of music! tbh, nothing i would really listen to back home, but i must miss music quite a bit because i was trying to record them all so i could listen to them when i was home. but tbh, when i thought about it more i really didn't care too much. but hey, that reminds me, today's unconsecrated walmart song is "human" by the killers! one of my ALL time favorite songs by them. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
- there were these crazy kids from this family we visited, and one of them loved stealing Elder Gustafson's tag, and my favorite golden pen. i thought i had gotten it back, but we got to the apartment and.... it was gone! kiddo's got a lit new pen now i guess
- all the hispanic people i've talked to on my mission have totallllllly been down for the gospel. too bad i don't speak spanish. luckily most of my companions had! so i guess it was 9 BoM's! because we gave a spanish one to them
- in my last area we had fast sunday before conference, and out here we had it after! so i got to fast twice and it was muy GRANDE fuego, i love fasting. you feel the spirit so so much, and it's just so awesome. but best case
- so we went to this one place to try and find our boy K, and uh...... there's a lot of interesting things that go down there. a bunch of dudes that don't seem with it, who live with a lady they all call mom, and there was this very small kid on a scooter who called himself cat boy. i freaking love children. they're just so amazing
- got a HYPe new district!! E Durrant, my old DL, Sister Bealer, LITERALLY one of my best friends who i served with in fruita for 3 transfers, hna Holt who used to be in my zone, hna Wolters who was in my last district, and some new missionaries who are super hype. we went on a dope hike and had lunch together and it was awesome!
Teaching Updates
- alright now to the good stuff!! new friends: 4 wheel and ant man, frog bus lady, miner, rider, pop, and mom10
- so we actually have like 15 people in our teaching pool, with more and more coming! 4 wheel and ant man we gave Book of Mormons, and taught the restoration! just stopped by their house without much info and it was great! it's a father and a son, and they were super into it! super awesome people too!
