Stories
- so! remember last week when i said i was sick? we got quarantined almost all week.. so let's just say that it was quite uneventful. woohoo!
- now this story is pretty cool. we got a service referral, but we obviously couldn't help out at all cause we were quarantined. we reached out to some members, and didn't hear much back. well, we remembered our one friend we helped move had this random homeless guy there helping us! and he was a MASTER at moving, never seen anyone fill a truck with as mch precision as this mans. so, we texted our one friend we helped move and asked if she could get in contact with him! she said the only way to find him was in the safeway parking lot. hm. so, that's what we set out to do! we prayed before we left that he would feel inspired to be there, and lo and behold, there he was! right as we pulled up, he was vibing. it was so awesome. we, (at a respectful distance), asked if he wanted to help and he said absolutely! it was such a cool little miracle! he then asked us if we were allowed to play video games, and was about as amazed when we told him no as he was when we said we didn't flirt with girls on a mission. love that guy.
- so, apparently e mclelland can solve a 2x rubix cube without knowing how to. he's done it twice now with no former knowledge. crazy
- so, there's this awesome new member we have with the war boundaries changing who asked if we could grab some pancakes! we were in quarantine, so it was allowed to accept food from members:) when we got them tho, we found something very interesting. they were each individually wrapped. or bagged i guess. about 30-40 pancakes, all in their own plastic baggie. sheesh bro. they were heccin good tho. AND SHE GAVE US MAPLE SYRUP I'VE WANTED SOME FOR SO LONG I LOVE MAPLE SYRUP okay that's all:)
- so, we got a service call a little while ago and went and helped out! turns out it was someone else who lived at the same place as the unicorn lady. so we had a good time talking to her again, and got to move some very dusty heavy furniture. good times!
- this next one i really want you to imagine the best you can. E Mc and i were chillin in our apartment, doing facebook work, with the sliding back door open cause it was a really nice day. when, all of a sudden.... we hear an ice cream truck. neither E Mc nor i had ever gotten ice cream from an ice cream truck before, so we decided to book it. E Mc did not have any shoes on, so he took off his socks and i jumped the back fence and we TOOK OFF. the ice cream lady had her day made, she thought it was so funny that these two kids in white button up shirts and ties were booking it for their lives for the ice cream truck. it was so worth it:)
- the lovely and amazing Elder Miskin gave me some BOM socks for my 1 year, for whcih i am EVER so grateful for! i decided to wear some on sunday, and almost changed them actually. but decided to keep the ones i had on. we get to church, and one of our new members who i've actually been facebook friends with for months cause of how awesome he is had THE SAME SOCKS ON. it was so heccin epic.
- I got to lead the hurrah for Isreal in the sunday devo!! only my CDSM peeps will understand. hehe i'm so happyyyy
- so, last night Elder McLelland and i were just vibing and randomly got a call from an unknown number. turns out it was the Hermanas in charge of the lives our mission facebook page does every monday night. and the pre-recorded live they had wasn't working... and they told us they knew we would be able to help. well, i told them i maybe had written a song that would go perfectly with the weeks theme of #becomesupported. and uh, we threw together a rough draft of what we wanted to do, and we're gonna perform it all live. no prerecordings. what happens will be what happens. wish us luck! and go watch it!!
- got 187 in bowling today new high score babeyyyy
Teaching Updates
- now, unfortunately with the quarantine there isn't much more updates here, with all the quarantine. BUT! we still worked our booties off don't y'all worry! We have some CRAZY huge potentials this week, and i'm super excited for where it's gonna go! stay tuned! Two specifically:) both of them really are excited to meet with us, which is extremely exciting. stay tuned folks!

- joshie! YOUR SONG IS SO GOOD HOLY CRAP. I AM BLOWN OUT OF THE WATER YOU ARE AMAZING. it literally sounds so professional, just like a bop i would hear on the radio. you deserve all the hype in the world, because it is FANTASTIC. AND SO R U!!!!!

My challenges for you
- love yourself! please. ohhh man, it's so important. CHOOSE to see what God sees in you. because it is so much. i wish you guys could HEAR the emotion in my voice. just imagine it. He loves you SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOOSOSSOOSOSSOmu
now, here's something else i've realized recently. loving yourself does NOT mean allowing things to happen that shouldn't. do you remember when Christ walked into the temple and everyone had set up merchandise there?
John 2:
15 And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew the tables; 16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.
He still loved them. He still forgave them, of course He did. And that's what we need to do! but if something is happening that shouldn't, you gotta be open about it. don't let anyone, uh, try to sell merchandise in your temple? not the greatest metaphor but you get what i mean:)
love yourself enough to tell others what's not okay. you'll always feel better about it in the end
