! welcome back to the semi-half-monthly email of koblob, who had the pokemon theme song stuck in his head his whole personal study the other day. you know how weird it is to be reading about Christ and just be thinking "gotta catch em all" in your head? at least the parts where it says "i know its my destiny", and "yeahhhhhh you're my best friend" sorta apply... 𝕙𝕖𝕙

i can't talk to a lot of people today so expect this one to be fairly longer. hehe  #sorrynotsorry

This week's summary! (for my TLDR folks)

☆ epic exchange

☆ Y'all ever prayed WITH someone about their own baptismal date? and all gotten the same answer?? pretty cool, would recommend

☆ zonk conk - i sang a song but was in the bathroom when everyone in the zone was waiting for me to come sing. so. yeah. that wasnt awkward at all. (then sis little asked me to teach her to sing so that was cool)

☆ black canyon... so heccin beautiful. GOD IS GOOD

Stories

- went on an exchange with a brand new missionary, Elder Lunt! he's a legend. we had SUCH a great time. the first 4 points of the summary are all in this exchange. first off, as i type this, the little light on my bluetooth keyboard is a lovely purple. it's normally blue, but red when i charge it and so the two combined is *chefs kiss* i love it. anyway, Elder Lunt and i did some mad cool service. we started shoveling this one awesome lady's driveway, and thought, hey, let's do the rest of them on this street. Elder Lunt was thirsting for service, and had also literally never shoveled snow before, (texas), so we did it! so heccin fun. then our member called and asked us to shovel her driveway. but, shoveling is not good enough you know. there's still snow left over. ladies and gentlemen, elders and sisters, i literally swept, with a broom, an entire driveway. man, it was tough. but i did it, and no previously snowy driveway has ever been clearer lemme tell ya.

we also stopped by our bishops house for a little lesson, and when we got there, he had like, probably 40 pairs of socks laying on the couch. the first words out of his mouth were, "take them all". or something like that. don't quote me on it. but when i tell y'all that i walked away with: donut shark, heart eye emoji, feather, flying pig, hamburger, robot, tennis ball?, mnm, QR code, robot dude, and more socks? good, good times. legendary. too bad i can't like... wear any of em hahaha

Elder Lunt also taught me how to wrap copper wire around things, clip it, and make chains n stuff outta it. so cool. i can now make jewelry, yet another skill i never thought i would ever learn on a mission. second only to sweeping a snowy driveway.

- combined district council this last week! and zone conference. it was packed. i am DRAINED i tell ya. but it was way good, we came up with many many many solutions in one go about. set many goals, such as one baptismal invitation per week, and 10 ask invites. kinda tough, but hey, you gotta do whatchu gotta do i guess.

- members, friends, and missionaries alike, WONT. STOP. GETTING. COVID. so annoying. no idea how we haven't caught it yet, but hey. we're going with the flow. motion of the ocean babey

- the gravel driveway boy is fairly self explanatory. we helped someone smooth out their driveway cuz it was very bumpy, and they have very loud chickens. but, if you scream back at them, thet stop! who knew.

- i love animals, and i don't have any problems with cats, but man. i was COVERED in hair after this one lesson. that was a very friendly cat. and i used an entire lint roller

- supposedly i carved my name into a valentines heart dish my aunt had, like, forever ago. also supposedly i keep getting reminded of it. i also supposedly keep.. forgetting. heh. love you abby!!

- i have lost a lot of good missionary friends out here:( stop CHANGING GOSH DANGIT. the lovely people will be shouted out. i love you all <3

- there's this epic video that was sent in to our zone chat a while ago, it was really funny. it was in my google photos a little while ago, if you care to find it. anyway, there's a guy named tyler in it. he's a legend.

Elder Bales and i helped out at a mission prep class on sunday, and halfway through when i was speaking, i realized that tyler. was sitting. in the back of the room. i almost died. took everything i had in me not to breakdown and die right there. we quote this man every day. we idolize him. he has absolutely no idea who we are. i told him he was a legend as we left. best case

- zone conference! loved it. Elder Bales and i were drafted into doing a musical number, which was right after lunch. problem was, we still had 5 minutes left for lunch so i decided to go to the bathroom cuz, well, uh, i had to go. walk back out, still have 2 minutes left, and everyone is sitting down watching me walk in. once again, 𝕙𝕖𝕙. still sang and had a good time, and sister little asked me to teach her how to sing after. i guess she liked it?

- dont go to walmart with only 7 dollars. you will end up spending a lot more than that.

- went to the black canyon today! it's deeper than the grand canyon, but not nearly as long or wide. but SO beautiful. many pictures and videos will be on the link. ah man, so good. i could die. i love nature and beauty, i could have been there for hours. but alas, i had to beat Elder Schiess in bowling twice and make him eat two crushed red pepper packets. love you sheesh ; *

Teaching Updates

 - fly fisherman! such a cool experince. heres what i said in our zone chat about it:

"Well, we were finally able to get back with ((REDACTED)). We actually stopped by before church, but he couldn't come unfortunately. So, we stopped by after! Set mad expectations with him, and told him we wanted to have a new date for him. Although, Elder Bales and I had not yet prayed about one. So we decided to pray WITH him about one. And we all felt reallllll good about the 12th of March  so, therefore, tism awaits "

it was so cool hearing him say that date after i already felt that it was right. an unmatched experience

- berry is still covidified. thats a new word from yours truly i just barely came up with. so, uh, nothing new on her.

- hiyas are sick. but, also going to disney world? well, one of em is sick, the other is going to disney world. oliver is still kickin it. hecc ya

- mama bear and the sniper have dropped us. we're still best friends tho, they just wanna know for themselves about this church, and not feel pressured or anything with friends and all that. so not the worst thing in the world:)

- red robin! we brought her a bunch of food with bishop. twas a good time!

- kho and co's uncle, who they live with, got covid this time around. so, nothing new there either hehe sorry

- deb bruh has not been in contact with us for a while. please pray for her health <3

- brandon finley! i love u. hap birtday (yesterday im so sorry i had my p-day moved)

- theres this girl, we'll call her ophelia. she is someone i haven't really talked to, but im part of a group with her on facebook. let's just say, she knows how much longer she has on this earth, and it's not much. she's not old either, she has cancer. i please just ask all of you to pray for her to have happiness, love, and freedom from her burdens.

My challenges for you

send me people to pray for!!! i made a little prayer roll, and i know prayers are powerful. especially missionary prayers, apparently. please send me anyone or anything to pray for!!

Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.

- Alma 30:44. all things denote there is a God! i was reminded very well of that once more as we went to the black canyon today. there's so much beauty, everywhere. those places are extra special, but pay attention to even a leaf next time you can. the crystals of the snow. the sound of rain. God is everywhere. and He is an artist. appreciate His art, just as you would a piece in a museum. the world is His museum, His canvas. and so are you:) don't forget to look into yourself and find that beauty within as well <33333
