Bonjou moun! welcome back to the semi-half-monthly. just that. that is all. thank. 🌴This week's summary!🌴 (for my TLDR folks) - a mosquito flew into my eye and then it was very itchy - made homemade orange chicken, everything from scratch! - i mopped the ceiling - almost bought a pool table - put someone on date! - i said a very inspired prayer! - wendys gave me more depression - if you like to talk to tomatoes - had a member call us over to do roleplays???? - hiked the monument, finally 🌈Stories🤌 - alright, not much of a story, but first off do yall count missions by the day you were set apart or the day you started MTC? because i'v been counting it by the day i started the MTC, but i know penty of people who count the day before when they got set apart, (at least thats how it usually works), because that's when they very first put their tag on. let me know, other missionaries, what you do! - so we have a swamp cooler, it makes everythung damp and moist, and no matter what, if we put in on vent or open windows, anything, the bathroom gets exememly.... moist. condensation everywhere whenever we shower. the ceiling eventually got so bad it started to grow mold. i know, nasty, but thats just what happened. so, i took a swiffer and literally mopped our ceiling. it was disgusting, but now it's clean! thats what you get when you have 3 Elders in a one bathroom apt with absolutely zero ventilation! - found a pool table for $50 on facebook watch. we did not get it but ohhhhhh man it was tempting. ohhhhhhhhhh man. yeah. - went to wendys, and as it turns out, they have removed the #11, the pretzel bacon pub burger. i got the repkacement and it wasn't nearly as good. rip in pieces. - our bishop has a garden that's literally about a quarter to a half of an acre big, i'm not even kidding. we went and picked so many tomatos we couldn't even handle it, and that was literally just the surface. i have photo of our haul in the google photos link below, go check it out! - hiked the colorado national monument, which was AWESOME! i got some pictures in the google photos as well! go check em out :) ♥️Teaching Updates♥️ - we had a member call us over to teach a lesson, our first counselor, and when we went over he pretended to be two people he talked to to see what we would say. he then told us what he did, and what could have been better. literally the best roleplays of my entire mission. what the heck. and he had two awesome conversations with these people and got some referrals for other missionaries. what an absolute legend. - our cute little 9 year old friend M is now going to get baptized on october 9th! the only other time ive had someone on date i got transfered the day after so.... lets hop that doesn't happen here! shoufout hh whos now teaching that guy hehe - We called our one friend DT one night when we were at the church and she didn't pick up, so we started doing some other work. on our way out we met some of the sisters to give them some of the aforementioned multitudinous tomatoes, and when we were talking to them she called us back! i'll be honest, i was not in a very good mood because of something unfortunate that happened, and i wasn't feeling too spiritual. but we hopped in the car really quick and called her back, and we asked her if we could say a prayer with her! she accepted, and Elder Hassard asked me to say it. man i was not ready for it, but i wasn't gonna say no so i just went for it! and man, the Holy Ghost spoke SO hard through me. it started very generically, but by the end i was feeling fantastic! i really felt like i was not speaking at all, and i'm just insanely grateful for the power of prayer. it works so well frens! ☀️Spotlight☀️ - michael and fiance. please offer your prayers! - my little brother makai, whos such a baller. thanks for your awesome technology skills and being able to help me out with everything bro! i love ya! - my older brother mark gusti, happy birthday a few days ago! love you! - my other older brother tripper frost, who had a birthday last week! love you so much bro! 🔥My challenges for you🔥 - pray every time you even have a thought to pray. just do it. get on your knees, say it in your heart, whatever works best for you! ⚓Every minute, every moment...there was Jesus.⚓ - everyone is in one big happy family! we all should just try and love and support eachother no matter what! we have ward families where we all love eachother but we do that here too. i originally had a much better thought about this but i forgot, this still works tho right? love you all! here's what we're doing for pictures now! click on this link, and you can see many fun whacky pictures, some funnt videos, and even some guitar singin stuff :)) enjoy! https://photos.app.goo.gl/FmjN3Y9ZJcisSKrz9 ~ Elda Smith ;)
